Note: The Storage System Manager and EMC* Retrospect software must be installed on a computer on the same local network (LAN) as your Intel® Entry Storage System SS4200-E.

1. Download and save the file to a known folder on your system.
2. Extract the contents of the compressed download file.
3. Run the extracted executable.
4. Select a language from the pull-down list and click OK. The welcome screen displays.

Note: The download package language contains the language for the Retrospect backup software and the package installer utility. The client utility (Storage System manager) is set by the selection in step 4.

5. Click Next to start the installation.
6. Click to accept terms of licensing agreement and click Next to continue.
7. Choose an installation destination location. It is recommended that you choose the default location and click Next. The pre-installation summary information page displays.
8. Click Install to begin the installation. The files will begin copying to your local computer. A Congratulations page displays.
9. Click Done to complete the installation and open the storage system manager in your default browser. This will initiate the Device Setup.

Operating System Notes:
1. Windows* XP software requires service pack (SP) 2 or later.
2. 64 bit operating systems are not supported.
3. Retrospect* Express HD backup software is not compatible with Windows* server operating systems.
