Končar-BERTA (IntelŪ Entry Storage System SS4000-E) System partition, volume and file system information The IntelŪ Entry Storage System SS4000-E operating system volume is mounted as /dev/md0 and is a Linux ext3 partition. Although the operating system is resident in flash memory on the SS4000, the flash operating system is copied to the /dev/md0 partition on the storage system array and runs from there. Upgrades to the storage system software are typically performed on the hard disk drive (array) operating system. The data partition for storage system software versions 1.0 through 1.3 is mounted as /dev/vbdi2 on /nas/NASDisk-00002 and is a Linux type xfs partition. Storage system software 1.4 provides greater than 2TB storage space by mounting multiple xfs data partitions, i.e. /nas/NASDisk-00002, /nas/NASDisk-00003 and so on. The operating system and data partitions use a software RAID 64K Byte chunk size. The file system block size on the operating system partition (md0) is 1024 Bytes. Each file system block size on the data partitions is 4096 Bytes. Storage system software versions 1.0 through 1.4 are a proprietary build based on Linux Kernel version 2.6. File sizes supported on the data partition are unlimited. That is, only limited by the space available on the storage system. However, files copied to or from the system using FTP can be no larger than 2 GB. Filesystem recovery: http://tinyurl.com/o6ucut9
